CarryVid

Privacy policy

Last updated November 6, 2026

This policy explains what data the CarryVid app and the carryvid.com website handle, and why. CarryVid is made by YDLY Co., Ltd., 79, Gimpohangang 9-ro, Gimpo-si, Gyeonggi-do, Republic of Korea ("we"), which is responsible for your data. Our approach is simple: what you save and browse stays on your phone.

Data that stays on your phone

Your saved videos, download history, browsing history, bookmarks, settings, and the sign-in cookies of sites you visit in the CarryVid browser are stored only on your device. We never receive them. When you save a video, it downloads directly from the original site to your phone; it never passes through our servers.

Ads and your choices

Free users can watch rewarded ads served by Google AdMob. If you're in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, the app asks for your consent before ads are personalized. In US states with privacy laws, you can opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for targeted advertising. In both cases, you can change your choice anytime in the app under Settings, then Ad privacy choices. You can also reset or delete your advertising ID in Android settings. Plus subscribers don't see ads. Google's use of data is described in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.

Legal bases (EEA, UK and Switzerland)

Sharing

We share data only with the service providers listed above, who process it on our behalf or as independent controllers under their own policies (Google), and when the law requires it. We don't sell personal data for money. Sharing the advertising ID with Google AdMob for personalized ads may count as "sharing" or a "sale" under some US state laws; you can opt out as described above.

Where data is stored

Our database is hosted in Singapore. Google and Vercel may process data in the United States and other countries. Where data leaves your region, we rely on our providers' safeguards, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep it

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your data, to object to or restrict processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. You can delete your data yourself in the app (see Delete your data), or email us. We won't treat you differently for using these rights. If you're in the EEA or UK, you can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Security

All connections to our servers are encrypted. Each account can read only its own data, and balances change only through server functions that check every request.

Children

CarryVid is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect data from them. If you think a child has given us data, contact us and we'll delete it.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date above. If a change is significant, we'll tell you in the app.
